[Note: Recently, Glenn Beck said he had talked to a man known as the “gold king,” who, like Beck had warned people to plan for the upcoming economic crisis rather than just panic when the stock market, etc. start to plunge. Apparently, Beck et al don’t realize that is why the Power Elite (PE) have dumbed down the people—so they will just panic when disaster hits. The use of crises is an important technique the PE uses to accomplish its goals. This is how we got the freedom-losing Patriot Act and Homeland Security Act after the crisis of 9/11.
President Obama’s pullback on a response to Syria’s Assad using chemical weapons has been justified in part because our limited response is designed to hit fixed targets which Assad cannot relocate. But what if a delay allows him to locate hastily erected “children’s camps” next to those fixed targets? Can you imagine the pictures of Syrian children dead from a U.S. attack spread around the world? And an even more fundamental question is why should the U.S. be involved in Syria in the first place when the rebels (including Al-Qaeda) against Assad have also used chemical weapons? To see a video of this, click here. And don’t forget the video of a rebel fighter engaging in cannibalism of his enemy. Do we really want to support these people?]
In my previous writings, I have explained as part of the Power Elite’s (PE’s) dialectical process, Nelson Rockefeller (NR) worked with the Nazis and David Rockefeller (DR) worked with the Communists. One might conclude from this that NR was a Nazi sympathizer and DR was a Communist sympathizer. However, they were not and are not! If NR were alive today and you asked him if he was a Nazi or Nazi sympathizer, he would probably reply that he was not, but he did see the Communists as the bigger threat to the U.S. and the world in the future, and that is why he worked with the Nazis, so the Communists could be defeated.
The same is the case with DR. If you asked him if he was a Communist or Communist sympathizer, he would probably reply that he was not (even though he befriended Castro and praised Mao), but rather that he was working toward the same goal Ford Foundation president H. Rowan Gaither described to Norman Dodd, staff director of the Congressional Special Committee to Investigate Tax-Exempt Foundations: “Of course, you know that we at the executive level here were, at one time or another, active in either the OSS, the State Department, or the European Economic Administration. During those times, and without exception, we operated under directives issued by the White House. We are continuing to be guided by just such directives….The substance (of these directives) was to the effect that we should make every effort to so alter life in the United States as to make possible a comfortable merger with the Soviet Union.” Note the reference to the time of the OSS, which means under the presidency of FDR, and when Gaither said “we are continuing to be guided by just such directives,” that means through the Truman presidency and into the Eisenhower presidency.
People like Gaither, Col. Edward M. House, John J. McCloy, Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, etc. are all agents of the PE. They are the ones who construct the plans and implement the strategies to fulfill the PE’s goals. And from my mentioning of Col. House, you can see the PE in modern times goes back to the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, who on October 19, 1912 at Carnegie Hall in New York City remarked: “Some of the biggest men in the United States in the field of commerce and manufacturing are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”
And on November 21, 1933 in a letter to Col. House, President Franklin Roosevelt confirmed what Wilson said by writing: “The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson….” Note that FDR did not say this “financial element” simply influenced our government, but rather “owned” it!
Historically, then, the PE goes at least back to the time of President Jackson, and in my new book, THE POWER ELITE: THEIR HISTORY AND FUTURE, I relate how they go back even further to the 1600s. For over a hundred years, our presidents have largely been puppets of the PE, either willingly or unwillingly because of their policy choices being limited by the PE’s global machinations. American presidents are basically “advised” by the PE’s agents regarding what to do given these limitations on their policy choices.
To see the depth of the PE’s control, look at what Thomas Lawson wrote in FRENZIED FINANCE in 1904 about the Rockefellers and their Standard Oil company (you can find this on Google Books on the internet): “They gather each day, between the hours of eleven and twelve o’clock, all the active men whose efforts make ‘Standard Oil’ what ‘Standard Oil’ is….Reports are presented…republics and empires made and unmade….The success of ‘Standard Oil’ is largely due to two things—the loyalty of its members to each other and to ‘Standard Oil’ and the punishment of its enemies. Each member before initiation knows its religion to be reward for friends and extermination of enemies.
Once a man is within the magic circle…punishment for disloyalty is sure and terrible, and in no corner of the earth can he escape it, nor can any power on earth protect him from it….Every twist and turn in the pedigree and records of Republicans and Democrats are as familiar to (the head of Standard Oil) as the ‘dope sheets’ are to the gambler, for is he not at the receiving end of the greatest information bureau in the world? A ‘Standard Oil’ agent is in every hamlet in the country.” Note that Rockefeller agents have been “in every hamlet in the country” since at least 1904.
